Ok so i brewed my IPA (true brew which isn't a true IPA but more of a brown ale) for 1 week in primary, 2 weeks in secondary and 1 week in bottles. So i am very inpatient and i drank 12 of them with a friend warm and they where good nice carbonation, head, etc. so i put the rest in the fridge for 2 days and they pour nice, have a brown color, a nice blonde head that last, but for some reason when they are cold they have no carbonation mouth feel to them but the warm ones are almost champagne like in the carbonation in mouth feel.

What could the reasoning be for this seeing how all the beers are from the same batch?

Could it be i but them in to cold of a fridge?

Set them somewhere at 70 degrees and let them rest for 2 more weeks and then cool them down and you will be fine. They go through a few phases while carbonating and by cooling them this early you are putting the yeasties to sleep. They need to finish thier job and carb the beer. Sounds like you liked it as you guys consumed 12 warm ones.

Thanks, They where great warm, nice head, nice full body, great lacing. But yeah cold they are a little weak, you know a bit sad. Like if miller high life was to make an IPA, not like a good IPA.

ok i let them sit for like an hour out of the fridge and they are still a bit cold but not super cold maybe around the upper 40's and they now seems to be back to the way they where warm, this is weird, i have never seen anything like this.

I'm gonna let them sit longer, like 2 more weeks and i will post more when they are up to par.

you didnt let them condition for nearly long enough. give em at least two weeks if not more to carbonate properly. ull thank me later

You can't perceive the carbonation if the gas is still in solution. Your
homebrew isn't as carbonated as commercial stuff and at cold temperatures
more gas is in solution. Gases are less soluble at higher temps,
so more of it comes out of solution and you can taste it.

Well it came out good after letting the IPA sit for another 2 weeks, Me, my 2 friends, my sister and even a cap driver had a glass and they all said it was great but my sister said it tasted like pot i guess thats what hoppy taste like to her. So all was good a bit cloudy but very nice.
