what other sodas do you remember drinking ?

Orange Crush
Grape Nehi

Yeah, I know there's also Grape Crush and there used to be Orange Nehi, but it was always Orange Crush and Grape Nehi in our fridge and never the others.

Yes, RC is/was Royal Crown; they shifted the branding heavily toward using just the initials at some point and eventually dropped the full name altogether I think. Can still get it at my local Kroger. And Royal Crown was originally the Nehi Cola Company.

Fresca is the only diet soft drink I could ever stomach.

oh yeah i forgot about orange crush. i still see that one sometimes i think.

As a kid, my parents would take us to the BBQ/burger joint and as a treat would get sarsaparilla. It’s the only time I saw it.

Wink. Was like Fresca but not diet.

*When Wink was first introduced there was a Wink-Mobile driving around giving away free samples, had to have been early 70's. I was in jr. high and in gym class, we were outdoors playing something. Our field was right alongside the road, and the Wink-Mobile stopped and we all drank multiple samples.

One of my childhood favorites was Ma's lime soda.

I'd almost forgotten Wink. Which for some reason reminded me of "It!" which I had also almost forgotten about. "You like It! It likes you!"

Cream soda was always provided as a store brand when I was a kid too. Parents would buy a mix of all the store brands but only a few cream sodas because "they might have that one kid who likes it". I was shy, I'd have to ask my mom to ask the host or wait until an adult noticed I didn't have a soda. Then it was "Oh you like cream soda, we have some!" It would be in the third cooler way down at the bottom. That or it would be sitting on a shelf in the garage or the cellar. I'd score big and have as much as I wanted because they didn't want to have it sitting around. The other kids would get cut off from the other flavors lol.

Stuarts makes a cream soda in glass bottles. We'd go to a Stuarts once in a while when I was a kid for the frosty mugs. I think they might of had it back then but can't remember if I had to settle for root beer.

I was a fan of 7 Up Gold.

Frostie root beer
Dad's root beer
Bubble Up
Shasta (they made a ton of flavors then and you could mix & match various cans in a case of 24)
Green River (never saw it in bottles at our stores, but was often served as a fountain drink at some local pizza parlors)
Teem
Squirt
Orange Crush
Grapefruit Kiss

Mom drank Diet Rite (until the cyclamates issue came out). Then the company removed it, due to the ban.

I remember Kist soda back in NY. I have a vague memory of the the guy in the Kist truck occasionally delivering wooden cases of soda to our house.

*And that sparked another memory - the Charles Chips guy delivering tins of potato chips and pretzels.

My fond yesteryear sodas are, Coca-Cola w/ Vanilla, Shasta Diet Creame Soda (I guess its still around), Vault and Jolt. When my old man quit caffeinated pop he would buy PACKS of Shasta Diet Cream Soda. It honestly felt like an endless supply. However, I cant seem to find the stuff anymore.

Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale. (May still be a thing but I haven't seen it in a long time.)
Any of you guys ever pour peanuts in a Coke when you were a kid?

no anyone ever drink pickle juice through a peppermint lifesaver?

The only diet soda I ever liked was Pepsi Light
wasnt that the light blue can with lemon in it

you dont know what your missing

apparently this has been rediscovered and its generated a similar trend on tiktok.
Yeah, I've never heard of that before. (Also I don't do tiktok). I wonder who the first person was to try this, and what the impetus was to do so. It just sounds so bizarre.

In college I loved Josta. It was basically an energy drink before they were a thing, heavy on the citrusy guarana flavor. It's been discontinued for many, many years now.
