I have a nice 3 tap keggarator in my house. I love it and there are always 3 beers ready to poor. However, sometimes I have beer ready to go, but no empty kegs (sad story). I've seen these soda stream machines everywhere and had a crazy thought... Could you carbonate your beer with it?? What are your thoughts?

For the cost of one soda stream you could get a keg I bet :)

Fill the bottle about 60% full of cold flat beer. Add a small burst of co2...wait until the beer settles. Repeat 4 or 5 times. I do this on kegging day to enjoy a sample. If you follow the instructions for making soda it will make a huge gushing mess! If beer backs up through the valves you should fill the bottle with warm soapy water and add co2 until the soap discharges back through the valves...over the sink. Repeat with warm water.
