Just finished creating a recipe I am going to brew this week. Coffee raspberry amber ale :D Then hoping to brew again next weekend, not sure what though.

Brewing up Yoopers Oatmeal Stout Sunday. Have the grains ready to go and about to put the starter on the plate.

Any relation to The Yoopers? My wife recently bought a bunch of music by The Yoopers and they have some great beer drinking songs.

Double batch of Cream Of Three Crops done and done.

Brew day went absolutely perfect by the numbers.
Then my 20g G1 BK rolled off the kitchen counter and ovaled the rim by a solid inch
Took an hour to get it squared up but it fits the lid perfect again...

Cheers! (...and "Phew!" :))

11 gallons of my strong bitter yesterday, will be cramming in as many 11 gallon batches as I can in the next week or two and try to not need to brew in Jan when temps are super cold. Or at least not be brewing huge batches!

Fantastic brew this weekend -

New Monster Mill (3-roller) Mash efficiency was very happy

My rig is not advanced at all (wooden thee-tier) but it does the job well. So as an improvement, I put my boiler on a dolly and anchored it down to the dolly. Now I can boil, cut the flame, wheel the kettle (instead of carrying) to the sink and chill, then use the bulkhead to drain the kettle into the fermenter and I only have to lift the kettle once instead of carrying a pot of hot liquid around.

Used new pH meter and B'run spread sheet to hit mash pH dead on.

Tweaked a robust porter recipe. 5 gal - swapped out a quarter lb of chocolate malt for quarter lb of 120L. It was 1 lb chocolate, is now .75 lb chocolate, .25 lb 120L

Changed yeast from WLP051 to WY1968

Went with Northern brewer instead of EKG for bittering. Dumped the maltodextrine. Considering adding coco nibs.

Was a great brew day.

Kegging a coffee mocha porter on wed. Making a Citra pale ale Saturday and a Nut brown ale on Sunday. My first two AG batches.

I'm thinking of brewing another batch of the Porter I have on tap right now. That or an APA to test out some of the new hops I've got in bulk. Decisions decisions..........

Plans are to brew a lambic Saturday and pick up some more kegs. Just bought 8 lbs of hops so I need to plan a lot of brews for the next few weekends as well as probably max out resuses of yeast and carboys in fermentation.

Which ones?

Which hops? I just got in a couple pounds of NZ Southern Cross and AU Galaxy that I've never brewed with myself. I also have some Eureka that I still haven't brewed with.

I went on a hop buying spree a little while ago, and I got the Southern Cross and Galaxy on sale for $3.75/pound on black firday so I just have an absurd amount of hops in my freezer. Simcoe, Centennial, Azacca, Mosaic, Columbus, Cascade, Magnum, Sonnet Goldings, Styrian Goldings, Millenium, Chinook, Columbus, Amarillo, Nugget, Belma, Sterling, Cluster, Crystal, Galaxy, Southern Cross, and Glacier.

Yes... I have a hop buying problem. No shame. :mug:

Decisions indeed, you'd probably have a shorter list if you listed what beers you can't brew with this selection.

brewed Wee heavy today, double mash, og 1,101
first time i finished with the volume exactly i was looking for (21lt) and missing the og by only one point (target 1,100) and i made it with a double mash, 69% efficency :)

So idk what to do I may try and call to my beer supplier who sells and has a barley crusher and see if I can use there's. Pain in the ass!

It is a gift and a curse. Every time I brew I spend a couple days going back and forth between all the different things I want to brew and all the hop combos I want to try.

Been below 20's and snow on ground the last few days but supposed to be 50's in Sat so Going to try and sneak in an oatmeal stout.

Not exactly brewing, setting up an apfelwein.

What the trub is apfelwein ? :D

I'm brewing 5 gal of Imperial Espresso Stout on Sat. I waited WAY too long to get this one going. Still, should be ready by Jan - Feb

Oh wow, serious? At my LHBS I just hand him my BeerSmith recipe and he does everything. Sound like he need some competition.

Well they've done it before but they refused me last time "as my grain wasn't purchased from them" they don't know!! and I got mad so I'm now not shopping there.
