Has anybody ever tried to make one? Maybe one that would be the second runnings of a dopplebock. I am really getting into the whole partigyle idea. Anyhoo, it isn't essential it be a smash, but it would be a nice addition, as I am rather new to all grain, and really want to learn the merits of each grain and hop variety.

Cheers! :mug:

I've been thinking about doing an Aramis-Munich SMASH Oktoberfest, though Aramis obviously aren't quite an Oktoberfest-style hop choice.

Yeah, I want to try out Saaz or Spalt. I have used Tettnang and Hallertau, and want to try a different German hop. From what I have gathered, Munich is both convertible on its own and unique enough to carry a grain bill.
