Small batch fermentor

Wife got a promotion so we moved and I lost my friends. I'm getting out of 5g brews and dropping down to 2g. Brew more often, less beer, but more variety.

I want to make a small fermenter out of a mini fridge as that is all I will need now.

What Love controller would be best for me? It will be inside, so I only need it to cool, not heat.

Just watched a video on it and I like it. One question, did you drill a hole to run your temp probe or just close it in the door?

With the Ranco, do most drill a hole to run the probe or close it in the door? That still seems like it would be airtight.

Thoughts?

I just close the door on the wire. It's very small so the seal is still fine.

I have one fermentation chamber with a love switch and one with the cheap Chinese ones for sale on ebay and Amazon. I'm much happier with the Chinese made one because it's so simple. The Love controller has way too many functions for what you want it for and is a PITA sometimes.
