Hello fellas. Im sure you are tired of hearing this question, but I'd like to ask it anyway as i haven't seen the specifics of my situation answered elsewhere.

I just finished bottling my first batch of beer. I used the Brooklyn Brew Shop kit I got for Christmas.

I had my beer in my glass 1 gallon carboy (after having been fermenting for 2 weeks) and I was siphoning it into a pot so I could mix it with the honey mixture i made before bottling it. I had to get my siphon started so i had my tubing (about 3 feet long) filled with sanitized water. As I started the siphon i didn't dump the water into the sink but instead I let it flow into the pot. It was too late before i realized i was an idiot and i let the 1 gallon of beer mix with the few ounces of sanitized water.

This is the sanitizer in question: http://brooklynbrewshop.com/accessories/brooklyn-brew-shop-sanitizer

I bottled the beer. I tasted it before i bottled it and it did indeed taste like beer. The question is do I have anything to worry about? IE dead yeast or bad taste?

Thanks!

No rinse. No problem.
I'm not familiar with this particular brand, but if it tastes OK, no problem. I've read of others mixing much more than this amount with no noticeable effects.

Yeah that's what i deducted. I figure if it isn't harmful without a rinse then trace amounts cant harm the yeast or flavor. Of course my logic was not enough to settle my paranoia. Thank you!

It will be fine. A little, an ounce or two, in a gallon wont even be noticeable. Sanitizers are food surface safe. You would need to ingest quite a bit of it to make one sick.

Will it affect fermentation?

As others have noted, it shouldn't do. I admit I often was worried about this and avoided no-rinse sanitisers for a while. It's really not an issue, though that might be a little counter-intuitive.
