Hey guys,

Have a few brews under my belt on my 3 vessel eHERMS

Initially when I set it up I was overshooting my HLT temps. Found on the boards to drop "i" down to 1 or so. Did that, now it takes a very long time to reach my set HLT temp. My PT100 is in my HLT out, I have a recirc setup. For boil I use manual mode (only have one temp probe).

I have ran autotune a few times, but still find it takes to long to reach my strike temps. My brew day really is to long and I think the main problem is the time it takes to get to my set temps. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Scott

Is your PID not running full-bore until it nears setpoint? Do you see the OUT light go on and off, element pulse?

It's full blast then when it was getting to maybe 15 degrees of set it would pulse. This is the part that would take a long time.

I found this thread:

I re-ran auto tune as if I was actually going to brew. 10g in my HLT, got my temp to 140 then set it up to 145 and ran auto tune. Will see how things go tomorrow.
