Hi!

I'm Frode from Norway, the land of rain and mountains. I'm all new to brewing, and just recently got interested in this ancient craftmanship.

A couple of days ago I got myself a starter set, and I've already set in motion my initial plan to get some small batch of ginger beer going for Christmas time. Eventually I might venture into proper beer teretory, but I'll have to do a bit of reading on that first.

So what should I do while I wait for the first primary to finish? Brew some more of course!

Welcome :) ! Brewing is plenty of fun, and can seem overwhelming at first, but once you have made your first batch, you will see its not that hard at all. And get your brew on, that way, you have ready to drink beer, while your other batch is fermenting!

Welcome,

I was lucky enough to spend several months in your beautiful country when I was in the military.

Happy brewing!

Welcome! Always want to visit there. You have some interesting breweries I've read about. I want that sheep dung smoked ale so bad!!!!!!! Seriously too.

Cheers!

Thanks!

Yeah, there was a national microbrewery boom some years ago, and today you can find local breweries all over the country. Just around the city where I live there is around a dozeen of them. I mean, the local hobby-brewer store also have their own microbrewery!

Nice! Out of curiosity, in what part of the country did you stay?

Welcome! My great-grandfather was from Brekhus, Norway! I have always wanted to take my mom there before she gets too old.

If you have any questions this is a great site. Very helpful people on here.

Skål!

Thanks!

I'm on the road right now, I'll have to check my notes next week but I think it was pretty far up north.
