Simple recipe required first time all grain brew

Hi, I'm in Australia setting up for first brew. Made the lauter tun today. I'd like to brew an American pale ale style beer and would love some input on simple and readily available malt barley and hops to use. I'd like a high alcohol and high balanced hop profile without overkill on the bitterness. Any ideas? Thanks

I'd steer clear of anything with Maris Otter, rye, or flaky adjuncts - those can gum up the mash and lead to stuck sparges.

I don't know if you can get the actual kit down there, but maybe something like Northern Brewer's Dead Ringer IPA? Here's the link, which may give some ideas. Cheers!
