So I got a propagator pak of Wyeast's Lambic Blend and made a typical 2L starter with 6oz of DME. Wanting to try out my shiny new stirplate for the first time, I started it up. But someone mentioned something on another thread of mine about high levels of oxygen possibly being detrimental to the brett/lacto. Is there any truth to this? Since I saw that I turned off the stirplate just to be safe, but I'm curious if anyone has any more input here. Is a stir-plate a good idea with lambic culture starters?

Haven't personally tried it, but I know Pedio hates O2. It will give you a butter bomb (diacetyl). They may clean up after themselves, though, I'm not sure.
