10 lbs of grain, 5 gals of water in an 8 gal kettle, with strainer bucket in a retired yet repurposed fermenter bucket in the foreground for sparging.

well poops, Wish I would of seen this earlier, Would of taken a pic of my bag hanging earlier.... maybe next brew

Looks like I hit my OG...or at least close enough.
Drank the hydrometer flask...tastes of strong Citra and very sweet.
Should be a nice little NEIPA when finished.

My home made sack. Making the Dubbel today. Overshot mash efficiency, hit 88%. Now I have to decide between more beer or stronger beer.

According to the ash catcher on that kettle, you have a classic. Careful using that brush to clean the grate. There’ve been reports on metal threads coming off ending up in food.

That there classic has seen a lot of smoke. I wish everything i bought lasted that long. I think I had it 20 years before I learned to actually barbecue in it. That was maybe 10 years ago.

Brewed a Hazy Pale, w/ Ekuanot.
Boiled 30 m's, because it was a hot day, & I was losing volume.
Gravity came in at 1.055 ish, w/ 5.5 gallons in the fermenter.
Recipe gravity was 1.047.
No sparge, single crush...pretty happy with that.

doesn't it have a air adjustment on it? think it just looks like it needs more oxygen....

edit: i used to think jet engines sounded cool, then i found out it's a balancing act with flow/air ratio to get the most heat....before i just left my air thingy(SP?) wide open and cranked the flow up all the way, looks like your having the opposite problem...i learned those little twisty air things are adjustable for a reason....

Mine is corroded. I think you're talking about where the hose goes into burner...correct?
Mines rusted closed, if it was ever operable...assuming we're talking about the same thing.
Got a lot of years out of that cheap burner, but its making my stainless brew pot ugly...and that pot ain't cheap.

aren't there solvents that clean up rust...one screw and some cleaner sounds cheaper then $100 for a new one, but i couldn't figure out how to stretch an o-ring, so now i have to spend $20 on a new bucket... :(

and yes you're right, the spinniny thing that lets more or less air into the flow of propane....i'd personally take the screw out, and try and clean it some how if it doersn't turn anymore...
