hey ya'll!
Thanks in advanced for all the help

My first home brew is nearing its end and i heard a thing or two about warming my fermentor to help the yeast give its final go then about a day or two after raising the temp to then drop the temp down to the 40's to clear it. i live in the high mountains so I'm capable of easily getting it that cold.
opinions, thoughts, concerns?

I usually pull mine out of the swamp cooler after the initial high Krausen stage at day 4 and let it warm to room temps.

How long has it been in primary?
Cold crashing does help clarity.

Small corrections to your terminology for fun's sake. :ban:

Once yeast is pitched it is now called beer.
Wart is an ugly skin skin condition. Wort is infant beer. :D

Yep, after high krausen (3-5 days) I start ramping my temperature up 1f per day until I get to around ~68 and I left it finish out at that temp.

I still use the swamp method too, but after 4-5 days I stop adding frozen water bottles, and the water goes to room temp. This way I can keep the same water in the cooler, and just close the lid when I pull the bucket out.

my brew day was late at night on the 15th, so tonight(the 20th) will be a full day 5.
i have it fermenting in my room which is allowing it to be a steady 66-69 degrees

I add a little star san to the swamp cooler water just to keep any nasties out of there.

You are fine just like that. Let it ride for anothe 9 or so days and then start your FG checks.
