Should flame-out hops go in the bag?

I'm brewing an AG Pliny clone, and I just added the flame-out hops addition to the hops bag I'm using to contain the huge amount of hops and dropped it in, but now I'm worried that that was a mistake, and I should have just added the last hops addition to the kettle. Will I get the hops goodness without leaving the flameout hops in the carboy?

I'd say you're fine. If you'd have tossed them in the kettle they would settle during chilling and mostly be left behind as trub when you whirlpool anyway.

I think you will be fine. I've been pondering the idea of not using the bag in the future and adding my whirlpool hops directly into the wort. Shouldn't cause too much debris at the end

flame out hops don't need to go in the kettle. Put the flame outs in a separate bag, pull the other bag out at the end of the boil and throw the flame out bag in. then when you're done whirl pooling or cooling pull that bag out also and transfer your wort as normal.

I used to use hop sacks in the boil. But now just toss'em in the kettle. Seems to give the hops more edge imo. Then after the wort chill,I use a large dual layer fine mesh strainer on top of the fermenter (Buckets & Cooper's Micro brew FV). Pouring the wort through it to get the gunk out & aerate it as well.

Thanks guys. I feel better; and it's chugging away now, so the die is cast. My last few brews I just threw everything in the kettle, and then into the carboy, and everything worked fine, but I was having SO much trub at bottling that I was trying to find ways to reduce it. Straining the hops while transferring to the carboy was the biggest pain in the ass of the entire operation...

I've been using panty hose as my hop bags. Works out nice bc at the end of the boil before whirlpool I can scoop them out. A lot less trub at the end.
