Ordered yeast. Live in middle of nowhere. Going to take a few days to get here. I ordered with ice pack. Will it be good? Or do I need to drive 100 miles to pick up yeast?

You'll be fine. It usually takes me a few to get mine and I've never had any issues.

Liquid. It’s been in a hot truck for 2 days and won’t get here until another day. I’ve been tracking it. Worries me. I plan on making a starter, but will it be ruined?

RDWHAHB!

If your starter doesn't take off then you can worry.

My lhbs closed and now I have all my yeast shipped. ... Depending on where you live there might be a closer retailer (online or otherwise) so you won't have to worry as much.

I do not order liquid yeast as a rule in the summer. Learned my lessons from that the hard way. I can't say whether your yeast will be ruined though. I prefer dry yeast anyway so it's not a big deal for me, but I just stock up on liquid before the heat and keep repitching, or pick it up from LHBS.

Stocking up in spring and fall is a good idea, but I think as long as you are making a starter, you should be ok, or at least find out if you have a problem before brew day
