Has anyone tried their shiner bock extract clone recently? I bought a couple and I’m currently waiting on them to show up. I noticed in the instructions it mentions 5 HBU for the hops, but on other threads I’m reading a lot of people say they use brewers gold hops for shiner bock?
Also, is anyone familiar with maltoferm? I’ve read online that it’s also an key ingredient used in shiner bock but according to AHS they use pale extract. Curious if anyone knows if this will cause a taste difference, or if anyone has used maltoferm?
