Maybe this is a really dumb question, but is it possible to grow up plants from seeds found in dried whole flower hops? The bag of mt hood I recently bought is full of them. Anyone know if Mt Hood even produces viable seeds? And yes I know the resulting plant could be male.

Sure is! I've been growing one that came up in the compost pile back in the mid 90's. Not real vigorous but she has a nice aroma profile.

You can but be aware that it won't be Mt. Hood you are growing. Since you don't know what the father was, you'll never know. Of course, it may be something awesome so go for it.

Awesome. I already have a 3rd year cascade and willamette so I won't be too disappointed if its a male or some weird hybrid. I planted a goldings rhizome a friend gave me but it didn't sprout so I'll plant some seeds in its place.
