I Got the wort down to a 70 for the yeast to grow safely then accidentally added the yeast before i out the wort in the fermenter. After racking the wort into the primary fermenter I poured a little bit of sediment into the fermenter worried about getting all of the yeast. Now my primary concern is that the sediment will cause off flavors in the brew. I am not worried about getting sediment into the bottling process because I will be racking again during secondary fermentation I am just worried that the sediment will mess up the brew during primary fermentation. The beer is an IPA if that makes a difference.

Don't worry. The worst it will do is make your beer less clear. In all likelihood, it will settle out during ferment.

You can remedy that by cold crashing the primary after fermentation is done to below 40*F for a few days (which I do instead of using a secondary) if you want clear beer.

If you can, try to ferment that beer in the mid-60's (beer temp, not air) for a cleaner-tasting result.

You got a little sediment from the boil pot into your fermenter? Oh my!:p

I dump it all in. There are no off tastes from it and it all settles to the bottom when the ferment is over. Now are you done worrying?

Yeah thanks I didn't think it was a problem when I poured it in. I just wanted to make sure because I started to second guess myself.
