Hello all,

So, we are currently on our fifth batch and are a week away from bottling. Now, I just cracked one of our previous IPA's from two batches ago and discovered a surplus of sediment in that specific bottle.

Both glasses of beer are from the same bottle

My question for you: Is there a good sediment filtration technique for the bottling stage??

Thanks so much

Forgot to mention that up until this point our beers have been "au naturel" no filtration

There are plate filters and cartridge filters, but you need kegs and c02 to push the beer through them. Also, you can't filter a cloudy beer because it will clog the filters too fast.

There are other methods that work well, though- like chilling the beer for 3 days at near freezing before racking to a bottling bucket, using finings, and waiting to bottle until the beer is clear which minimizes the sediment that can make it until bottles.
