Yah i could try that or maybe order off the american Amazon site. Shipping is as much as the product but definetly alot less than the Canadian site.

Of course, that's so smart. I'll have to try that. Thanks!I used to reuse the bottles from sparkling mineral water in the UK. That worked really well, 2 litres big and build for taking pressure. They were green, so care needed to be taken regarding light and after 3 months the beer starts to oxidise in them but otherwise, best value ever.
They come with two litre of brewing water and are sanitised by default btw!
You might want to get yourself one of these rubber cloths for opening twist offs that got stuck. Otherwise it is tough to close that many twist off bottles tightly, I had some blisters on the root of my thumb once or twiceOf course, that's so smart. I'll have to try that. Thanks!
Well now i have to try them. Be good to transport beer in too, beach days. You might want to get yourself one of these rubber cloths for opening twist offs that got stuck. Otherwise it is tough to close that many twist off bottles tightly, I had some blisters on the root of my thumb once or twice
And the odd bottle sometimes did not seal well.
Another big plus, the openings are bigger, so sugar cubes fit in there. It happened that the Lyle's sugar cubes had the right weight for carbonating my 0.5 l bottles. 1 cube per bottle.... man... I might go bag to these bottles
Nothing stores well for long in them, but for up to two months I did not taste any bad impact, it started to show up after 3 months but, depending on the beer, at first it could be actually a nice impact. Not for hoppy beers though... a bit of ascorbic acid when bottling might help to stretch the time a bit.
