And I just got an email from Red Lobster. Boo-yah Cheddar Bay Biscuits!I am patiently *cough* awaiting an email.
I just got a holiday card with a handwritten note and personally signed by the staff. Very nice personal touch Schramms. It's the details like this that set you apart from the rest. Class acts.
That link Alyson sent in her last email. How do I update my address![]()

Hrm. I'm not sure what to say. I suppose congrats will workI didn't take the job offer in Madison, so while I can triple my salary in another industry, I'll stay and double it in January. My back is killing me, Madeline weighs 21#, and Agnes will be in bottles for my birthday. Amelia should arrive in March - she is super healthy and the mead is amazing. My bourbon collection is growing and I need a haircut.
Are you having another baby? I'm out of the loop apparently...I didn't take the job offer in Madison, so while I can triple my salary in another industry, I'll stay and double it in January. Yes. Welcome to the inner circle. Are you having another baby? I'm out of the loop apparently...
NiiiiiiiceYes. Welcome to the inner circle.
I was visiting family in Brighton and came to visit your place on the 26th of December and came back the next day as well, just wanted to say I had an awesome time trying all your mead and actually learned a lot from talking to the employees there! Brought back a bunch of mead to STL that I'll be sharing with buddies! Black Heart was amazing, but I think Black Agnes barely beat it out as my favorite!
Great thread. Thanks for the knowledge Naegerbomb
Got my first delivery of Schramm's Mead. Drinking the Ginger and already debating joining the Mazer's club.
So long as the water isn't trucked in from Flint...we're good!I haven't seen any discussion around the water you use. Do you use city water? If so do you filter or modify the water?

We use city water, unfiltered or modified. Our clean water is honestly one of the best things our metro area has going for it - it is very tasty, pure, and with a relatively low load of chlorine/chloramine it makes great brewing water as is. For some of the micro cuvee stuff, we use spring water. We may look to filter and treat all of our brewing water in the future, but like I said: metro Detroit (and most of Michigan, actually) has really great water for brewing. It is one of the reasons we have so many fine breweries here - the Great Lakes are an amazing resource for us.
What kind of water do you use for your brewing?
This weekend marks my first trip to Schramms and luckily this work week is buzzing by. My apologies in advance if I accidentally brush up against someone with my raging mead b. I mean well and I don't get out much
What style of glassware is available for takeaway? Thanks!
