I want to do my first AG beer this weekend. I don't have the equipment to do a full 5 gallon batch, so I want to scale it down to a 2.5 or 3 gallon batch. Is this as simple as dividing the ingredient amounts by 5 then multiplying the amount of gallons I want to make? Or is there some kind of formula?
I want to make a Blonde Ale based off this recipe:
8 pounds Golden Promise 2 row
2 pounds flaked maize
.25 pounds honey malt
.25 pounds biscuit malt
1 oz. Willamette Hops (60 min)
1 oz. Mt Hood Hops (10 min)
Wyeast 1056
Thanks in advance for your wealth of knowledge HBT
