Have a mason jar full of a saved yeast cake that also has a lot of sediment, because I did not wash it properly. I made a yeast starter and it seems to be bubbling on a stir plate. Assuming it looks viable after 36 hours on the stir plate, is there any concern about pitching the starter when I know there is old hop sediment and other garbage in there? I can't see it contributing to flavors or causing problems in a five gallon batch
