If you had a vial of this sitting patiently in the fridge, what recipe would you hire this yeast for???
I've used it for ipa's, dipas, stouts... The stuff is a freakin beast. Attenuates well, great flavors, awesome for big beers
Never even thought to use it in a stout. I just brewed in the last month two stouts, used a wlp004 and wlp500.
I have an IPA fermenting currently and used safeale 05
Would it work well in an amber ale?
Well, I DO have a jar (not vial) of SDSY in the fridge, and I will use it to make a Black IPA next week. I think the one I got may have been Chula Vista Adequate Yeast, though, because my attenuation was no better than WLP 001, and neither was flocculation. Nothing wrong with it, but not Super either.
