5.5G batch: This is a real basic wheat ale recipe 60% 2 row and 40% white wheat malts. Some bittering hops like Magnum or Warrior for the full boil (try .25 oz) then .75 ounce Tettnanger in the last 5 minutes. You want low IBU's perhaps in the 12-18 IBU range, so you may want to run this up in a recipe builder program. This beer is a bit lemony and slightly spicy. Add the yellow zest (no white pith) of two medium lemons and .75 teaspoon of Grains of Paradise during the last 10 minutes of the boil. If you don't have Grains of Paradise, sub the same amount of cracked black pepper.
Use US-05 as a dry or WLP 001 liquid for a neutral profile and hold at 65-68F for fermentation. This beer should start around 1.050 and finish around 1.010 to 1.012. One of my wife's favorites.
