Safale US-05, once open how long does it last

I have been breing with Mr Beer. I used Safale US-05 yeast instead of the provided yeast in the American Devil IPA kit. I only used half the yeast. I closed the yeast package up and threw it back in the fridge. Will I be able to use the rest? Is it still any good once the package has been opened? I plan on using in 2-3 weeks after I opened it.

You'll be fine. I don't usually do this with brewer's yeast, but I've had baker's yeast in the fridge for a month opened and it still did the trick.

I've used half packages with big beers(1.5) and I seal them back up with my food saver, no problems so far. I would be concerned if their not sealed.

This is just what the manufacturer condones. I am sure the limits can be stretched, but I am not sure I would given it is $3 for another pack.

I recently did the same thing with US-05; the left over yeast was in the fridge for 3 weeks. It worked just fine.
