Can anybody give me a good example of a Rye. I have been wanting to brew one for years but I want to try some commercial ones first.

Here's a clone recipe for Terrapin Rye Pale Ale from the Can You Brew It database on here. I haven't tried it yet but I heard it's good.

Cheers!

All recipes are (unless otherwise specified): 6 gallons post-boil, 70% efficiency, Morey for color, 15% evaporation, 7.27 gallons preboil, Rager IBU, and most hops are in grams not ounces. Most, if not all recipes are primary only (no secondary).

If you brew this, please reply with your results for discussion.

I just had six point's rightous ale in a can. It was epic! It's well dry hopped and has a good amount of rye in it.

Sam Adams had a rye ale in their variety pack a few months ago. IMHO it was a very good beer. I haven't seen it recently, but if you can find it, definitely give it a shot.
