I didn't brew anything from about October to January, and now I notice that I am down to about 2 cases of homebrew.

I think it may be time to panic.

I have an amber ale in bottles for about a week and just brewed a porter yesterday.

The amber ale may be somewhat drinkable in a couple of weeks, but still, I may need to control my sampling a bit. I wouldn't want to be reduced to drinking Budweisser! (Actually, I think before I would do that I would simply quit drinking altogether :)).

Well, yes actually. There is Discount Liquor. And I'm sure a few other spots that have good beer selections. And there are micro-breweries. Oh, and brewpubs, too.

OK, so maybe I am over-reacting a bit. Or am I?

mmditter . . . . you mentioned the "B" word in Milwaukee?

I'm now taking the time to trace your IP adress then cross reference it to all the internet records and the yellow pages so I can come flog you. Miller aint great but it's ours . . . leave that clydesdale piss in St Luis

:drunk:

Discount Liquor is your friend, never fear Discount Liquor is near . . . well depending if your a noth sider or a south sider:cool:

OH yeah I almost forgot . . . . The Landmark 1850 has a new brew sold exclusively by them, and you can get it in refillable growlers. 3Daschunds or something, been meaning to check that out myself. I'll PM you my cell phone if your interested in going to try it call me

Geez, this is not a crisis...not yet. I hadn't brewed since early December and I am down to maybe eight red ales and about the same Raspberry ales. I bottle next weekend. THIS is a crisis. Luckily I have some Jameson's to cover me for a few days if I run out.

Wow. I hit "Panic" when I get to the "hundred bottles left and only two carboys full" stage. I guess we all have different tolerances. :) :) :)

As I said, I wouldn't actually drink the "B" stuff. In fact, if I were stranded on a desert island and the only beer there was the King of Beers I still think I would have to go without :).

(Confession: I actually like Miller Lite. There. I said it).

Do you guys get Point down in Milwaukee?? They used to put out a decent sampler pack in the winter if I remember correctly (Tho it has been several years since I've had it. Hell, it's been 4 years since I've had a Point Special).

You'll pay for that time lapse between brews! Your primary should always be in use! :D

Don't panic...this is where you get to spend a couple months sampling new microbrews. It'll give you some ideas for new things to try, and help build up your bottle supply.

This message brought to you by the Glass-Half-Full brewing company.

Point Special is available in lots of stores here, even supermarkets, and tends to be displayed right next to the Miller, Bud, etc. As far as samplers go, I didn't notice any this year, but really wasn't looking. Point Special isn't too bad.

I last bottled on 12/29- I have 5L of fully conditioned left (HELP!!) and a full batch of stout that might need 150 years to mellow. I do have a full batch in the secondary, though, and I am going to brew this coming weekend. I just can't seem to get a decent stock without drinking it all first :D. Might go to storebought for a couple weeks to save the current inventory and build up some more bottles.

My atomic beer clock is always 11:57PM:eek:

OK, maybe that's the key-- keep your primary in business. I think I may try to do that the rest of this winter.
