I am building a ekettle and want to put the rtd in a 1/2" SS T. I was looking at Kal's design and he said this
"the Hot Liquor Tank & Mash Lauter Tun use a stainless steel liquid tight RTD sensor with 1/4" NPT thread, 2 long probe, and detachable connector. An NPT (tapered) thread is used as the probe tip screws into a 1/2" stainless steel "T" fitting."
So a 1/4" NPT threads into a 1/2" SS T? Why does this seem wrong to me?
Next question is length. Will a 2" rtd fit in both orientations of the T? If I went with a 1.5" will that work in both ways or will it be too short?
