Does anyone have any advice on using Rose Hips? I want to use them in secondary, aging with a Saison Brett.
Should I make a Rose Hip Tea? Ticture /w Gin or Tequila? Just add them straight in (Dry Hip)?

I plan to rack this beer in about a week, and leave it in secondary for 3-6 months on the Rose Hips.

Thoughts?

If you're adding rose hips in secondary, making a tea is probably the easiest and most neutral way to do it. I've used rose hips at bottling time in tea form and at late boil on my most recent batch of Belgian Dubbel and adding rose petal extract at bottling. I find that the rose hips give a subtlety tart and apple flavor to the batch.

Sounds great! Thank You for the reply. I am going to add 2 oz of Rose hips into my french press tonight, and add only the liqud.
