I recently acquired a Brewcraft USA Rogue Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout extract kit on Marketplace - 3 lbs Briess Brewers Gold DME, 2 lbs dark DME, 1 lb Belgian Candi sugar, 3.5 lbs steeping grains, 4 oz Cascade, Mangrove Jack WC M44 ale yeast.
I am unfamiliar with the stout this recipe was cloned from; was thinking I might subtract the Candi sugar, Cascade and MJ M44 in favor of 1 oz Northern Brewer for bittering, 1 oz First Gold at 15, S04 pitched at ~65 for something more like a Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout.
Any opinions pro / contra welcomed and appreciated.

Well, which direction did you go and how did it turn out?
