Rodi filter

I have an Rodi filter from my aquarium. Should I use it to make water for beer? It would be pure water then I could add anything I needed back in. Would this be more work then it is worth.

This is mainly applicable to all-grain or partial mash. If you're brewing extract, it doesn't much matter as long as the water tastes good (no chlorine or other bad tastes).

I have just stared to do partial mashs and was looking to gets much control as I can. But did t know if it was worth the extra work to start from Rodi water.
