now that we left the realms of rock drummer we can talk about Art blakey, and Elvis's touring drummer,(i forget his name) both of which are awesome...and what about Ginger baker and Mitch mithcell? also Budgie from Siouxsie and the Banshee's was amazing (and still is ala 'the creatures')

Someone brought up Charlie watts who is solid, but the guy from zz top, (beard? is his name) and guy from creedence are also very minimnalist good...

Yup. That's his name. I always found it amusing that his name was 'beard', but he's the shaven one and the other two have the beards down to their belts.
