I've always had trouble with stout/porter recipes, as they vary so widely from light to heavy and varying levels of sweetness and roast.
I'm trying to make a nice robust tasting stout(similar in "robust-ness" to Smuttynose robust Porter).
10lb Maris Otter
1lb Chocolate Malt
8oz Dark Crystal 120
4oz Black Barley
1lb rolled oats
It used to be much easier to find recipes for specific styles on this forum, but now that it's just "ale recipes" it's hard to find more than 1 one or two this time of year...and I don't have enough experience with dark beer to know what these ingredients deliver.
It also doesn't help that the search function on the app is completely useless.
