His manic high-energy comedy wasn't for me. But I liked him nonetheless.

You can see the demons he was drawing on for that character. Fantastic film.Good night Robin. The Fisher King while not a huge hit was always a favorite of mine.
He's accomplished more than most could ever dream, and he'll be fondly remembered for what he has left behind. Dealing with depression isn't a get your **** together type thing. It's a constant battle that many end up losing. His death has sparked a lot of discussion on how we deal with mental illness in this country. He might still do great things. What a sad waste of a life. I've been a fan for a long time. Great talent and a damn shame he couldn't get his sh$t together.
Why is it that when someone that we have never met face to face passes it can affect us so much? Sad and angry all at the same time. He was hilarious, and entertained millions. I loved his stuff.
RIP. Hopefully you found some relief. The brilliant ones often seem to be the most tormented of the bunch.
