With tears running down my face, my heart is crushed. I feel so sad for his family. I had a pretty screwed up childhood and Robin taught me how to cope with my demons through humor and not cocaine. The largest part of my sense of humor is all thanks to Robin, and he was my mentor to my doing standup comedy. I totally got him, so many didn't. If you haven't seen it yet, please watch his San Francisco show, "An Evening with Robin Williams" from 1982. Back then, cocaine was both the cause and the cure of many things. I will deeply miss him. "Moscow on The Hudson" wasn't a great film, but it is still worth watching, at least once.

I grew up on Mork & Mindy. The man was comedic genius, but to also be able to creep me out in 1-Hour Photo & Insomnia...

Thank you, Mr. Williams. Thank you.

I am blown away and definitely saddened my day a bit. I'm not sure anyone was as funny as this man when he really cut loose and had fun on stage as a comedian. His movie roles were great, but restrained him, his stand-up was my favorite. Although I'll always think of him as Genie.

Wish something more could of been done to help him if they knew he was battling severe depression. RIP

I find it strange and sad that those we rely on to raise our spirits and make us laugh oftentime suffer from depression. He was a great comedian, and the world is a little less jolly with his passing.

I'm fairly young, (24) and this has been one of the celebrity deaths that has affected me the most. I really grew up with Robin and I wish all the best for his close friends and family.

He was a great actor and was a big part of many of the films that I associate with my childhood. I truly feel sorry for his family.
