Roasty Imperial Stout (ie marshal zhukov, southampton ris)

ive brewed a couple imperial stouts trying to get a nice hearty roast with a smooth and thick velvet feel...all the things i like about zhukov, southampton, and to a lesser extent dark lord...does anyone have a good clone recipe, or just a regular recipe or tips to achieve the taste i'm looking for?

we have a pretty active discussion about Hunahpu going on. I confirmed today with Wayne Wambles, the head brewer at CCB, that Zhukov is the base beer for Hunahpu.
