I ride year round so i contemplate this daily.

And if you think people are oblivious to other cars? They flat can't see a motorcycle. I view it like being in a live video game where everything is out to kill me. So far I'm winning.

I don't ride that much anymore. The red rocket in the garage is going to get me in trouble sooner or later. Its usually worse in the summer because not are you dodging cars but summer riders as well, they can be worse!

The hot taco Tuesday pub riders are the worst. It's great that they ride and all but when its only once a week for 10 or 20 miles you're a danger to yourself and everyone around you. Riding well is a perishable skill and it takes practice practice practice.

I may need to start carrying a tape recorder in truck. I have some real winners, I'm sure....but I'm also glad people can't hear me, mostly. A favorite is some derivation of "you waiting for a specific color of green, or will that light do?" or, since there' a decent Irish contingent around: "Is Kelly good enough, or would you like forest green? Cause you're stuck with Kelly and I'm stuck with you, prick!". I tend to go with whatever comes to mind, which is often unintelligible ramblings. Kyle
