hello everyone. former entry-level homebrewer here, trying to get back in the game. Last night, I brewed an imperial pale ale kit from Brewers Best kit I purchased on amazon. the brewing process went well, but when I went to pour the yeast packet into the primary, a significant portion of the yeast spilled out from a small tear in the bottom of the packet and did not make it into the wort. realistically, I probably got 75% of the yeast in there, but I'm wondering how much that is going to affect my final product. should I chalk this up as a loss and toss the batch, or wait and see how it goes?

Yeast have a lag phase where they build themselves up to attack the sugars in your wort. They are very adaptable to their environments. You underpitched (probably) but it should not be much of an issue.
