last week i made a starter with some lager yeast to use last weekend. life got in the way and the brew day didnt happen and i wont be able to brew for a couple weeks. i put the starter in the fridge for now in the flask with some tin foil over the top. i have read that it will be good for a couple weeks, but would it be beneficial if i made another starter and dumped that yeast into it to get the yeast going again? i was even thinking of getting another pack of wlp 830 and mixing it in with the current yeast when the time comes as well.

Maybe, but probably not. The yeast you have is probably nearly all viable so making a new starter and dumping that in would be mostly like making 2 starters for stepping up the yeast. Storing your yeast in the refrigerator should keep nearly all of it viable.

There is no real way it can hurt - so if you have the time/DME I would do it a few days prior to your brew day. If you can't get around to it though, then I'm guessing you'll be good regardless. However, IME making a starter (even in this case) never hurts.
