I opened a Franziskaner Premium Weissbier Naturtrüb today (from a 12-pack from Amazon UK, use by date of August 2025) but saw a 'residue' inside the rim of the bottle.

Are there any issues with this?

I do not recall seeing anything like this in my years of drinking, is all.

that's the yeast. hefe is packaged with live yeast in suspension. It was probably stored on it's side for a long time.

shake it up a little and let stand upright. after it settles, pour your glass and swirl the bottom and dump in your glass. your pour should be hazy.

You can also carefully pour off the beer after it settles and harvest the yeast and grow a yeast pitch

I have had this beer many times but usually from supermarkets where, as you say, they do not store them on their side (when on the shelves, at least).

Thank you 👍🏼
