A small addition of carapils is the best way to get that beautiful lacing clinging to the glass as you drink your favorite brew.

Well, considering that I'm the OP, I have no idea what you're talking about. 90% of the time, there's no reason to use a secondary fermenter.

the best way to carbonate a Pilsner is in clear bottles. but you need to to hit it with pure O2 for 10 minutes right before bottling. and then put the bottles in the east window sill in the morning and west after noon. that will keep them from getting infected.
