Just found out my yeast starter for my dogfish clone I was going to brew was ruined. I was going to use wlp002 but now am out. I have wyeast 1056 American ale and wyeast 1028 London ale. Would either of those work? I saw a post where someone actually blended the two but not sure if that would work or be helpful?

Cheers,
Rob

Or another alternative. I brewed a lighter ale last week with wyeast 1056 and am supposed to move to secondary fermentor. Can I pour dogfish 90 wort over the remaining yeast from the primary without doing a yeast starter?

Personally, I'd probably prefer a DFH 90 clone fermented with 1056 over 002. Best of all possible worlds is if you rinse the yeast from the light ale and use the appropriate amount of slurry. Check with the MrMalty calculator to get the right amount for your OG, volume, harvest date, and slurry thickness.
