Lol. Where else are you getting barrel aged stout of this consistent of quality for 63 cents per ounce?
you obviously have no clue how ****** new york prices are. the lowest i've seen is $11 for a single bottle and thats not including new york tax. that was at one place, other spots charge at least $13+ (again not including tax) for a single bottle. i used to pay $25 tops for a 4pack..why the **** would i ever buy multiple bottles now?

One year does not make this legacy disappear.
no one is arguing that... enough clowns in this hobby to keep a big name brewery like GI alive despite how ****** all the variants were last year. reg bcbs is fine but i've had it enough times were i don't care to stock up on it anymore. if i ever come across old bottles of course i'll buy them. new ones? take em all.

You should move out then.

personally i prefer paying an extra $.05 per oz more to not contribute to inbev garbage and not risk buying infected beer.

that's just my 5 cents though.

Report back there was some slight infection, notes of twatiness, shitlordery, and homieisim.

68-81 cents per ounce remains pretty reasonably priced. New York or not.

I respect your opinion, and seem to mostly like your posts.
And your stance on this is similar to mine, but I've always said I'll continue to drink Bourbon County and variants as long as they are good... This might be the beginning of the flip side on that. We shall see. I think it's saying something for a large conglomerate to take over a smaller company and NOT **** it up... Maybe they're learning? I expected to mess with things sooner TBH.

Ive just been around to long to get behind anything inbev does. They may have toned down the rhetoric in the past few years, but their stated goal for a really long time has been to 'destroy craft beer' (small breweries) and 'gain 100% of the market.' they (or the bud side anyway) has a distinct and clear cut history of taking over smaller breweries and slowly sliding them towards **** beer over the course of a few years. They have already changed/watered down a few of GI standard offerings and it is not surprising to me that bcbs is following suit and having issues. This entire endeavor of GI inbev was predictable as all hell from where im standing. Expect a price hike again next year, the abv to get slightly lower, and bcbs to be more or less unrecognizable by 2020. lol the belief that GI would be different. It's really just simple math.

i do understand why people were holding out/being optimistic though. that just ain't my thang.

What are some examples of this? Just curious.

Cursory glance shows the ABV has been pretty steady between 13%-15% for its entire existence. As for cost increase, price gauging is hardly exclusive to macros.

I guess I just don't see them having a QC issue that other craft breweries have also had as being some big indication that InBev is ruining their product line. But I'm really curious as to other times macros have done this to craft breweries.

Next year's varient will be a Wild BCBS, a blend of all the infected **** they caught before it hit the trucks. People will go wild for it. InbevTrollface.jpeg
Dat Pannepot Wild game plan!
At GI's new taproom, they tapped a beer that is a BA Barleywine w/ lacto. Dat repurposed BCBBW!

This goes back to a time before American craft beer was huge. GI is just another InBev tick. Most of y'all are probably are too young to remember a lot of this.

Remember a time when the craft beer alliance made good beer readily available throughout the country? Or bass? celis white anyone? Modello? when did hoegaarden start to suck? Oh yeah, according to the man himself... InBev. (By forcing them to cut corners in the brewing) lowenbrau used to be delicious. not so much any more. Shall i go on? They are involved in asia too but i think 3 continents work well enough for my point. Maybe comment on historical turns when Budweiser was know as a Czech beer before the good bud folks ripped off not only their name but their logo?

Honkers, ipa... I'm sure people who drink it regularly could attest to more of their brands slightly changing. I obviously don't drink it.

When costs go down because you now have a billion dollar business behind you prices need not go up. This is basic greed and not economics. It is the reasons for price increases that irks me, not the fact that it happens. InBev can pull this more effectively because they can afford short term drops in capital due to initially overpricing a beer, whereas a smaller brewer just can't take the hit.

There is plenty more info you can online that will confirm my statements.

Honkers always sucked, and I like ESB's.

Didn't Celis bring his brewery to Texas and then sell the recipes to Michigan Brewing before Miller bought them? And MBC ****** it up.

Yep. He tried a couple of times before his death I think. His Daughter just announced a new contract project. She was involved with the latter attempts. It's a pretty tragic story - his original brewery was part owned by Interbrew*, and when it burned down and he couldn't afford to rebuild, they offered to buy him out so it could be rebuilt then shafted him (this is from memory so the details may be a little wrong, but that's the gist).

Yes, but it was the interbrew (old inbev) acquisition (and their business practices that I spoke of) that drove Pierre to TX in the first place.

Shortcuts are not the problem with Bourbon County. That InBev has any oversight in day to day operations at the Fulton brewery (where no honkers or IPA is brewed) is funny to me. If you want to blame InBev somehow for the Director of Ops' choices in who has been promoted and how it has led to a larger turnover in production brewers, then you may have something. I think like many breweries, GI is dealing with infection issues in a barrel aged stout they have been making without issue since 2003.

Sorta OT...but is anyone still waiting on a BW refund from GI? I called mine in towards the end but seems like it should have showed by now. I need that sure to be too small tshirt.

Got mine a few weeks back - t-shirt came maybe a month before the check? Surprisingly, they got my size right too.
