Sorta OT...but is anyone still waiting on a BW refund from GI? I called mine in towards the end but seems like it should have showed by now. I need that sure to be too small tshirt.
Never got a shirt ( they did take my info ) but got a 180$ check 4 weeks after calling about BW.

I have 16 October regulars....lol.

Not getting any signs of infection or any other off-flavors even though I'm "looking for them". Bourbon and booze heat up front, fudge in the middle, toffee on the finish. Delicious.

12NOV2015 0904 14.3 ALC/VOL Bourbon County Stout

Tasting great, decadent barrel character / chocolate / warming alcohol / sweetness that is everything I like about BCS. Also we had a good (as much as you like 2015 Prop) 2015 Prop bottle on Sunday.

Not saying there isn't something going on with certain bottle dates, but it doesn't seem to be as widespread as barleywine and coffee bottles.

This was tart & approaching gross. Drainpoured, opened another one and had the same experience: unusually brisk carb, thin, and tart. Any word on GI offering refunds? I have 6 more from the same date that I'd just assume dump if there's no hope of restitution. Doubly disappointing as this was one of if not the best ever batch I've had fresh.

Any links to a list of confirmed infected bottling dates and %?

pretty much all bottles in Florida. I heard rumors that Florida, as state, is infected.

But in all seriousness, from my research on all posts from the multiple sites and facebook groups has it pretty much mostly on the October 21st bottling, with a very small infections detected on the October 20th also. Both, the 14.3% abv.

I wonder if Goose Island will let me make another claim. I already made one for a crappy infected BCBBW and a BCBCS that was meh. I didn't think I needed to worry about BCBS. What went wrong this year that they had so much infection?

Opened a FL purchased 5 of Oct (I think, definitely NOT the 21st) last night and it drank wonderfully.

I don't mind the incentive to drink these quickly, but annoying either way.

Thx man!

Another October 21 casualty over here. Had one last night that was absolutely gross. Sour as hell with a nose of tart cherries and sewage. Undrinkable. Probably safe to assume the other 11 in my case are equally terrible.

Opened a Oct 12, 13.7%, picked up some off flavors, couldn't tel whether it was just this thread mind ******* me.

Repeated the process 10 days later (tonight) same off flavors. Buts still slight enough that I wasn't totally sure I wasn't fooling myself. Had my wife take a sip and tell me what she thought (didn't mention anything), her immediate reply was there was something tart and metallic.

Fuuuuuuuuck.... I have a fair number more of these. All same date. It's not intolerable, or undrinkable, but it's definitely there.

**** **** ****.

Well, I can confirm this is total ****.
Vinegar and sour cherry on the nose.
Taste is ******* awful. Like someone poured a glass of vinegar in it. All the classic chocolate and caramel taste is gone, and replaced with awfulness. Im not a huge fan of sour stouts, ive had some that are decent, but this is just plain terrible.Too two sips and poured this ******* down the drain. Totally ******.

Batch number for reference. May God have mercy on your soul if your bottle(s) match mine. Oh yeah I have six more with the same number. ****. I blame Florida
