Hey guys, was given a fridge today that has a side freezer..

if i get a thermostat for this fridge, do you think that one side will stay cooler than the other? or will both be about the same if i keep it in the 60's..

not really sure how that works..

thanks

The add on thermostat works by cutting off the power to the unit at a certain temp. So a probe in the fridge side could easily effect the freezer side.

But the fridge should have it's own separate thermostat and the freezer usually will too.

I'd suggest that you dial in a setting and measure the temp. to see if you can get the temp you're looking for. Before you try anything else.
