Has anyone refinished their old corny kegs to look like new stainless?

I'm not talking about polishing, I don't care for the mirror look, but the matte/burnished finish you see on new unpolished stainless?

I think this achievable through tumbling in a container full of some sort of media, but obviously that's not practical on this scale, so I am looking for alternatives. Specifically, I'd like to see examples from anyone that's pulled it off.

Here is what I am going for:

I used Bar Keepers Friend and a green scotch brite pad on my kegs. Cleaned them up very well. It gave the kegs a dull matte finish, almost brushed looking. I attached the scotch brite pad to my palm sander and went to town.

The finish you want is the brushed finish. If you want it to look almost exactly like your example find a belt sander, flip it upside down and rotate your keg over it from top to bottom.

You'll want a finer grain belt. Something like 800 grit.
