Went to the brewery today. Very interesting tour lasting about one hour ending in the teasting room. All lagers

Humingbird ------- to sweet for me, but SWMBO liked it.

Red Oak -------------better - SWMBO didnt like it.

Battlefield Bock---best of their three but not a great brew - SWMBO liked it

Guess I'm spoiled by much more flavorful ales. Don't think I'll ordering any mor lagers.

weird to see anyone mention Red oak on here. You're talking about the place in Greensboro, NC at guilford college and friendly? I'm a big beer enthusiast and only ever went there one time. There's a homebrew shop in the same area that I had the same reaction to.

p.s. a lot of stuff goes with a ribeye.

I've tried some of the Red Oak in Greensboro too and felt the same way. If I go out and it's that or BMC I'll go with the local everytime but dream of getting back home for a tasty homebrew.
