ANCHORAGE!!
Looking for a Red ale that has a good clean taste with a nice clear red almost ruby look-

Also for my second question- What gives it that red apperance and flavor? Is it the Special B malt? Mooses Tooth here in Anchorage has a really nice one that is 6% and doesnt lose any flavor!

AG please

this is a good pic of what im aiming for

I'd say go with a grainbill of 2-row, about a pound of munich malt, some crystal, maybe a pound split between crystal 40 and 80, and a little roasted barley. Dark roasted grains are what give a red color.

Here's what I came up with on the fly...

I'm thinking about doing this one, but 1.25 EKG at 60 minutes is only 11.4 IBU according to Beersmith. Is there something missing here? I need to finalize my recipe so I can put in an order for tomorrow.
