I was wondering if anyone has a good recipe for a red ale. I have brewed IPA's, APA's, Belgians , and others but never a Red Ale. Any recipes for this ale would be awesome. I plan on brewing this weekend. I just purchased an outdoor double burner stove to keep the wife happy, A Big 5 purchase of 80.00$. NO MORE STOVE TOP CLEANING!:ban:

Not sure how complicated of a recipe you want but it can be as simple as:

5.5# Light LME
1# 90 crystal

5 Home bittering units of any American bittering hop (chinook, cluster, nugget) for boil.

.5oz Cascade 15 min
.5oz Cascade 0 min.

American ale yeast.

This is at the low range for gravity, hoppiness and color but will mature and clear quicker for a faster turnaround.
